MOLD TESTING

Surface and Air Testing

Mold growing in homes can lead to structural decay, health concerns, unsightly stains, and foul odors.  Mold testing from DASET Home Inspection is a full assessment of the condition of your home as it relates to mold and moisture intrusion. We do not perform remediation’s, so you can be sure that we have no conflict of interest and you will receive an unbiased inspection.

We can take a variety of sample types (air, surface, in-wall) based on need, but the real key to actionable results is the visual inspection of the property. Our experience in home inspections allows for an accurate look at the home as a whole.

We then use sampling as a tool to enhance our ability to judge and confirm the extent of any mold problems that may or may not exist. We will deliver a lab report with full explanations of all findings.

This gives you the tools to make an educated and more informed decision on how to proceed with remediation if it is needed at all.

What is mold?

Mold is a type of fungi that can grow both indoors and outdoors. Mold spores are present in the air and can enter your home through open doors, windows, or ventilation systems. Once mold spores are inside, they can begin to grow and multiply. Mold growth is often visible in the form of black, green, or white patches on surfaces.

Mold is dangerous because it can produce allergens and irritants that can cause respiratory problems, skin irritation, and other health problems. Some people are especially sensitive to mold and may experience more severe reactions. In addition, mold can cause structural damage to your home by growing on wood, drywall, and other materials.
